Sarkozy's favorite restaurant in Corsica! The specialty is an amazing lobster with spaghetti. The restaurant has a terrace of those where you can sit down and you forget about everything. There's live music throughout the night to entertain the guests, and wine and service that does what it can in the face of such high demand. The price is high but it's worth it for such a perfect place. I said it as soon as I left: I'm coming back!
It is a cafe with modern décor, go here for a drink or even just to see its exterior is. You will be transported to the past in a bustling and ancient city. Coffee, chocolate, ice cream, tiramisu or crème brule are some of their specialties. They have a similar charm to that of [poi = 623261] Pastisserie Foch [/ poi], a bakery that is in front of the market and that you shouldn't miss. It is also next to the post office, pay attention to its clock.
Calvi port reminded me to Puerto Banus, but you quickly realize that it is only an impression, because here you will not see much luxury or celebrities. What I see is charm and a street with a few bars and cocktail bars overlooking the harbor and large boats. Some of these sites open at night. This is perhaps one of the liveliest. Background music, expensive cocktails and very affordable Corsican beer. I liked it!
Visiting this place is like being transported to the past. The décor remains intact after many years and a there are a variety of bread specialties both sweet and savory that make it a delight to come here, even if only to see it. To the side there is a small tea room with tables on the terrace where you can enjoy a freshly baked croissant with a cappuccino as you watch the people wandering typical Corsican market for its harbor front, a delight.
Before or after discovering the beauty of the Calvi citadel, you have to enjoy the feeling of siting on the Candella for a drink or a snack. The restaurant is in a small square of the citadel, full of charm, very quiet and pleasant. It's a traditional Mediterranean place, with its wicker chairs, clothes drying on balconies ... Another advantage is, once seated, the breathtaking view from there, like the streets and further below, the sea is an absolutely perfect blue.
La table du marche. Restaurant with in a quiet square near the Vieux port. They have an oyster stand. We ordered a menu with oysters and excellent meat. Highly recommended and also next to the exit of underground, and there is also parking available.
This is a great place to enjoy a good Pietra overlooking the yachts that fill the harbor. You can get some good beer, good cocktails and all at "reasonable" prices. The site has great chair and is so comfortable.
There are places where you feel immediately well, where you can taste the sweetness of life and where it feels like time has stopped, Casarella is one of them. The place is a paradise in the center of the village of Pigna, in Balagne, overlooking a beautiful landscape, and the bottom of the sea on a screen. Nothing is missing on the menu, the tapas are good, generous, delicious, and freshly prepared for our pleasure. The tapas cost about €5, with a wide selection of cheeses from Corcega, various meats, anchovies, mashed chickpeas, pickled peppers, all delicious. We enjoyed these tasty delights in this enchanting setting.
Situated at the foot of the bell tower of Canari, hence it's name, at the entrance of the village, the steeple is a small romantic place to visit, we would like to hide it, so it does not become too popular. It is an idyllic place, with a small terrace overlooking the village square. An authentic, peaceful haven, for a restful sleep.
