10 places to eat in Jamaica

Restaurants in Montego Bay
Each place has a very characteristic place that tourists shouldn't miss. In the Caribbean islands, MARGARITA VILLE is a mandatory hangout. Whether in Montego Bay, Grand Cayman or Cozumel Island, you are guaranteed a good time at Margarita Ville. This is a different place, where whether it's day or night, fun is part of the program. They serve a variety of dishes like Cheeseburguers, Pizza, Fajitas and seafood. Or, you can just drink a beer or the typical Margarita. Teenagers, adults, children and the elderly, no matter what your age, you will enjoy this fun atmosphere. They are always offering some new show generating a lively and boisterous atmosphere. You can listen to the music, enjoy the show, or take a dip by sliding down the slides that lead into the sea. When travelling to Jamaica, don't miss this unique place where you're sure to have an enjoyable experience.
Restaurants in Negril
Jimmy Buffett\'s Margaritaville Negril
One of the places that I enjoyed most on my journey around Jamaica, was one of their local establishments, Rick's Café, which is a bar that is situated right on the warm beach of Negril. We had a great time, as the entertainment provided good music and also on the beach there is a water slide and a climbing wall (opened in 2003). It should also be noted that many days they usually organize many different parties on the same beach, so there is always a party going on somewhere. Best of all are the cocktails that give the bar its name, which I assure you tasted great!

Dolce Vita Restaurant
The restaurant Dolce Vita is one of the a la carte restaurants that specializes in Italian food and is in the facilities of the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica. I loved it because the dishes were decorated with great taste and all were delicious. Of course it was based on pasta, pizza or Mediterranean meat. I liked it so much I would give it a 10, but the one I liked was the entree with seafood spaghetti with prawns and beef tenderloin that was grilled. The only bad thing I could say was that the waiters are all Jamaicans and although they have tried to teach Spanish, if you ask them something they have to take out a pocket handbook and still cannot answer.

Don Pablo Restaurant
Don Pablo's restaurant is another a la carte restaurant that you can enjoy in the all-inclusive facilities of the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica. This restaurant specializes in gourmet cuisine with a modern touch, since all their dishes are very original and enthusiastically creative, but much to my dismay, we didn't really like any, given the good quality at the Italian restaurant and the great time we had at the Japanese one. Some dishes we sampled included beef carpaccio with Parmesan cheese and extra virgin olive oil (see photo) or loin of lamb and goat cheese taponáles. Desserts were admittedly very delicious and very well made compared to the other restaurants. To highlight, the flambéed banana or chocolate mousse (see photo) were scrumptious.

Mikado Restaurant
One of the restaurants that I liked during my stay at the resort Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica was the restaurant Mikado. The cuisine is Japanese, but it was very funny because the cooks were people of colour and looked like they had no idea of Japanese cuisine. In my case we had a very nice cook who had a good bit of fun while we ate tepanyaki style- tasting plates of Japanese dishes like tempura made from vegetables, seafood and fried meats, all freshly made in front of us. The presentation of the dishes and the chef's performance were superb, worthy of a show. The truth is that I love Japanese food, and the dishes we tried were all delicious: rice, tempura, soup, sushi, beef, etc ... However, what I really liked was the house specialty and that was the Sirloin of Beef with green asparagus. It was really yummy!!
