Maybe the decor is a bit like your grandmother's house but the food is very good. For the first course share tempura asparagus with romesco sauce - very good, for seconds the grilled chicken with potatoes and escudella with pelota. The chicken was perfect but the potatoes were frozen (not good for a site with homemade things). The vegetable soup was a little sosilla. The pelota was correct but the pasta was a bit soggy. Large plates and the romesco was very good. A very good deal with quite a variety of desserts.
This is one of the best restaurants on the Costa Brava. I've been to over 150, and this is different and special. I guess the family atmosphere makes a big difference, but the key is use of good quality, fresh, local produce. Homemade sausages, home-grown vegetables, rice casserole, delicious meat and fish. The environment is also superb, with a splendid indoor lounge, a garden and a very welcoming and pleasant indoor terrace . The people are very nice and chilled. It can all be seen in ten minutes so dont hesitate to visit, if you have time, villages like Estartit, Pals or Peratallada. Congratulations to Maria and family for this wonderful restaurant.
The Tinell restaurant is recommended and is peaceful and spacious enough to enjoy the best music and the best wines of your choice. Of course the best chef is in charge of selecting materials to make the flavor authentic in every bite. It is the ideal place to go with family or friends since the prices are affordable.
