This original round door bar is in one of the most picturesque, alternative areas of Berlin, Kreuzberg. You can enjoy good rock music and a beer'' Berliner'', plus, since it's in the bar area those who like to hop from bar to bar are in the right place.
This little bar with a terrace is located little away from the city center, about a 15 minute walk west of the Victoria column. It is the bar of the hotel Adrema close to the government district and Charlottenburg Castle, on the banks of the river. In good weather have a drink on the terrace suspended over the water since you can see the sunset. It's not like the beach, but not bad. I recommend some beer and nibbles which include typical sandwiches or sausage type things. They also have full mealsand you can dine, but it is better to just go for a drink late in the afternoon. When not too busy it is a perfect place to end the day in a calm environment. Not too expensive, but you should ask for the prices, otherwise you may be surprised.
It is currently empty and maybe it is awaiting demolition. But something of Tacheles is still some open: a small exhibition of metal figures but it is not possible to access the original Zapata. There are no bars left in the inner courtyard of the building. It is a pity as it was one of the best spots in Berlin.
The glass architecture of Bar Babette is perhaps what most attracts me here. Located in the Karl-Marx-Alee, the avenue built in the style of the avenues of Moscow to rival the great boulevards of West Germany, the Babette is one of those bars with great ambience, intimate lighting, views, and a relaxing feel. Ideal for a beer or a glass of wine while listening to music, often live. It is just a few steps from the metro station Schillingstrasse, near Alexanderplatz.
Located in a busy area of the Friedrichshain district, the Astro Bar is one of the best cocktail bars in Berlin. It is decorated with a very "retro" feel, the lighting is very dim and the walls are filled with keyboards and posters from science fiction films. Although it has a DJ who plays good ambient music, the Astro Bar is not a place for dancing, but for a few drinks with friends in a lively and bustling environment. Prices : € 5 for whiskey and mixer, while beer varies between 2 and 5 € by type.
If you go to Berlin, you have to visit Tacheles, and sooner or later, this place. It is like a bar in a basement, with a wide selection of cheap beers, € 3 a pint for all brands. On the outside it looks weird, but inside it is very cozy with lots of sofas and there is a great atmosphere. The owner is very nice and I loved the bar. I went a couple of times because the owner seemed like a nice guy and because the bar was cool.
If you're a football fan like me and do not miss the Spanish league while traveling, I recommend this bar-pub, a Barcelona headquarters in Berlin, where you can also eat a burger and fries for about 5-6 €, 1.50 sodas and good German beer. Good people, many erasmus, great atmosphere. As a Madrilean, I was surrounded by Catalans. On the street Ziegelstrabe, 12 (Metro Oranienburger Straße)
