All about Houston tourism

Houston is America’s 4th largest city and the most cosmopolitan city in Texas. Travelers arriving at Houston International Airport should rent a car or catch the Houston Metro Bus leaving every half hour, while those arriving at Houston Hobby Airport can easily catch a bus to many of downtown’s most popular stops and begin their Houston vacation from there.

If it’s your first trip to Houston, make sure to check out a rodeo at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, or perhaps a Texans game at Reliant Stadium. If your idea of a Houston holiday is a bit more high-brow, the Houston Symphony and Houston Ballet are among the best in the nation, and the Museum of Fine Arts boasts over 60,000 works of art.

One of the stars of Houston tourism is the NASA mission control center (“Houston, we have a problem”) at Johnson Space Center, where you can see how astronauts train. If you want to get your shop on when you visit Houston, then plan a stop at the Galleria, glamorous downtown shopping center housing over 400 stores.

So, whether you’re looking for the glittering skyscrapers of downtown or the balmy beaches of the Texas Gulf Coast, you’re sure to find it when you travel to Houston. Have a look below at the thousands of recommendations from real travelers and start planning your perfect holiday in Houston.
