Beaches in Torremolinos
Playa La Carihuela
La Carihuela Beach is undoubtedly the most famous beach in all Torremolinos, and it is also where most bars and restaurants can be found. The sand of this beach is also somewhat obscure to be of volcanic origin as Bajondillo, and its length is 2 kilometers by 100 meters, so it ends right at the start of the municipality of Benalmádena and the start of Puerto Marina, ie Puerto Deportivo de Benalmádena. All equipment from the Red Cross post is available at this beach, including wheelchair access, bins, hire of sunbeds, beach umbrella, etc. ... It is a popular beach in Torremolinos, and I recommend it to everyone.
Streets in Torremolinos
El Bajondillo Seafront Promenade
The Bajondillo Promenade is located right at the beach of the same name, which is one of the most famous of the Malaga municipality of Torremolinos and it earned its name due to a "small" gap that occurs there before entering the water . When strolling along the promenade, you see that most of the hotels are right on the beach in Bajondillo such as: The Sol Principe, Melia Costa del Sol, etc ... Also on the Paseo Marítimo are most of the stalls that are put in Torremolinos at night, and if you look in the face of the beach, you will find all of the famous bars located right there.
Beaches in Torremolinos
Playa Los Álamos
Playa Los Álamos is located in the far end of the center of Torremolinos. Due to its Volcanic origin, it is very urban and dark in color. It is only 1 kilometer by about 950 meters long, so it is the shortest beach in the area. Fully equipped with showers, toilets, bins, cleaning, disabled access, hire sunbeds and parasols.
Gardens in Torremolinos
Mólino Del Hinca
In a garden, you walk in with no expectations, but just around the first corner you find a whole different world, full of fountains, waterfalls, water jets, green everywhere, many different plants and other exotic birds. You travel the maze of hedges between the cooing and water birds. You look surprised since its pergolas and gazebos you're looking at a distant and exotic garden. If you go on your own, with friends, with kids, or whoever, you will discover the corner just for you. Be sure to discover it for yourself.
Beaches in Torremolinos
Playa Playamar
Playamar Beach, is the fourth beach that can be found in the coastal town of Torremolinos. It is one of the beaches that a lot of people go to, but as it is only 1 kilometer long, it's not the best one. The sand is very fine, and the beach is lined with restaurants, bars and shopping centers. You can also easily reach it walking due to its proximity to the center of Torremolinos.
Beaches in Torremolinos
Playa El Bajondillo
One of the beaches I spent the most time at was Playa El Bajondillo because it was near my hotel and also had the elevator leading to it. The sand on this beach is a bit dark due to the volcanic origin and and it is located at the heart of the municipality in the city center of Torremolinos. It is just one mile long and the only bad thing is the slope to reach the water, hence the name: The Bajondillo lol ... My surprise was huge when to get in the water I discovered that the water is so cold Torremolinos or more water Biscay, since here as we were told outsiders is because it is bathed by the currents of the Strait ... So go disappointment!

Lift to the Beach
During the summer of 2008, I toured several provinces in Andalusia. I was young at a the time and didn't really know Spain, and one of the coastal places I went to was the Malaga municipality of Torremolinos. Of course I was very surprised when the hotel told me to go down to the beach via the elevator, and of course, I had to ask why is there a lift down to the beach? The truth is that you did not invent the Andalusians, lol ... Turns down to the beach Bajondillo, a small hill with a few stairs, but I enjoyed it because every day there is a market there, but of course to climb becomes heavier and € 0.50 / person, you climbed to the beach in a flash-plas lol ... He was authorized by the city of Torremolinos and had a schedule from 09.00 to 00.00 hours.

La Batería Park
La Batería Park is newly built. I don't know exactly what the address is, just that it is located in Torremolinos and that there are plenty of signs so that you will know where you are going. It is one of those parks where you can find everything you were looking for. If you go with children, there is a very modern swings comples, including a tree soothers (pacifiers hanging your children when not in use more plastic balls inside). They also have trampolines and a carousel. If you want to walk around there is a large park with paths around a huge lake, where you can also hop on a boat. There are many things that will make the walk very bright such as trees with their respective posters, pergolas in case it rains, like me, ... Complete set of park antiaircraft batteries that give the name. The park is made up of a former barracks guarding the coast. addition to the guns that are museum pieces, you can see a bunker, and the magazine. A little bit of history. And if what you like is the view, you can climb to the lookout tower (which has elevator if you can not climb stairs) and see it all from above. look you find what you seek. ! Enjoy!

Squares in Torremolinos
Plaza de Europa
There is nothing more rewarding after a tough climb in the Bajondillo neighborhood, than taking a break in one of the largest squares in the Costa del Sol in the shade of its leafy trees. This is Europe's monument to Europe and it displays all of the shields of the countries that are within the European Union. According to mythology Olympian god Zeus fell in love with Europe daughter of Agenor, king of Tyre and Telephassa. Zeus feared being rejected by Europe, became an impressive majestic white bull. While the other girls playing with Europe to see the bull fled, this does not scare without opposite, but was fascinated by the sweet movements Zeus and even came to lay on their backs. It was then that Zeus stood up and entering the sea began to swim quickly, ignoring the pleas of Europe, until they reached the island of Crete where Zeus revealed his identity and genuine natural seduced Europe. At the death of Europe, divine honors were received and named to the old continent while Zeus became a constellation formed one of the signs of the zodiac.

If we chose to have dinner at Casa Juan, on the beach of La Carihuela right in front, we could see the snack bar of Playa Miguel too. It is one of the better ones in the area, serving cocktails of all kinds and large hammocks for chilling out, although the music is not as chill rather moved and commercial.
