After visiting Punta Teno and observing the cliffs of the Giants from afar, we decided we had to go and see them from below in a small boat. And so we did it... After searching and searching for a small boat for a few people, we found a sailboat named Alexander. It carried a maximum of 9 people. Simply stunning. The cliffs are 600 meters high and we swam in its turquoise waters! What more could you want!
Cliffs of Los Gigantes are incredible rock walls that plunge into the sea on the west coast of Tenerife. Cliffs drop in free fall in the ocean, reaching heights of 500 and 800 meters. The only way to get to these cliffs is by boat. Once there, you can find the true sense of the greatness contained in these walls of fire. THere are many shades of blue water. We were surprised with the temperature of the water.
Lovely place to get lost, to enjoy a nice evening in solitude or in company . There are volcanic rocks, tropical sun, crystal clear water, exotic fish, peace, relaxation, fun, diving . It is a place to visit and enjoy more than once...
I visited this port in 2006. It is a marina where once can find many boats distributed by its pontoons, mostly small and shallow. There are also many boats for tourism, such as those that see whales and dolphins. Looking towards the sea, the cliffs are on our right, creating a very nice frame. One can find area restaurants and souvenir shops, as well as public swimming pools.
This beach is at the foot of the cliffs of Los Gigantes, behind the marina. It is a is a lovely black sand beach where you can admire great scenery of the impressive cliffs. Not very big, about 170 meters in length, but busy because the cliffs are a must-see for anyone visiting. It has all amenities: showers, public toilets, a couple of bars with a restaurant and terrace, and you can rent sun-beds and parasols, as well as pedal boats if you like.
The Laguillo is a lagoon-style pool and sunbathing area located on the road down from Puerto de Los Gigantes. We were there in the winter of 2006 and as the temperature was perfect, we went for a dip and a sunbathe. I thought it was like a mini Martianez lake. We enjoyed the stunning ocean views and the cliffs of Los Gigantes
