Starting from Kayenta and continuing in an easterly direction towards Bluff, this is a spectacular area with a landscape straight out of classic western movies. The long straight roads offer breathtaking views of the bizarre rock formations that characterize this area of Arizona and Utah. The first place worth stopping at is the Mexican Hat, a strange-shaped rock formation that looks like a sombrero. Later, you'll see the Valley of the Gods, a 17 mile stretch that resembles Monument Valley, but is a lot less crowded. And finally, don't miss the turning for Goosenecks State Park, with its amazing views of the Colorado Plateau.
