Half an hour by boat from Samana, a city located on the peninsula of the same name, in the north of the Dominican Republic is an island with a white sandy beach called Cayo Levantado. Recently a luxury hotel has been built on this islet and an artificial beach with white sand was constructed in the turquoise water, typical of the southeastern coast of the country. When you visit Samana, I recommend taking a day trip to this beautiful beach.
A dream location for the beaches, people, the climate, and above all the all-inclusive resort, where you can eat 24 hours a day, where they have top brands, with the best service and always with a smile. It is paradise.
If you go to Punta Cana I recommend this hotel. Excellent service, very tasty and abundant food, drinks all the time ... And beaches! They offer a lot of recreational activities like water polo, dance, gymnastics, volleyball and night shows and a club. As it is a complex of many hotels one can use many facilities throughout the chain.
Of the choices available, the Bahia Principe Samana Resorts is the only family hotel (ie not reserved only for adults), so if you're traveling with children this has to be your choice. It is also situated on what I believe is the best beach that we visited. Firstly because it is kilometers long and you can walk and walk along it whenever you want (fine sand and clear waters) and because it has some beautiful sunsets and sunrises. It also has plenty of pools and a terrace overlooking the sea where you can eat or drink. The entertainment team is fantastic and apart from the usual entertainment shows they also have beach parties. The catering consists of a huge buffet and several theme restaurants.
This is a great 4 star hotel right on the Playa Bavaro, with fine white sand and a beautiful turquoise sea. It's a paradise destination, recommended 100%! The best feature in the rooms are the round hydro baths, although they also have TV, safe, fan, terrace with hammock, etc. The Catalonia Bavaro is a tourist resort with basically everything: a private beach, gardens, swimming pools, jacuzzi, bars, disco, casino, shows at night, shopping ... and sports equipment: 2 tennis courts, gym, golf course, games room, all kinds of water sports ... in short, paradise!! The perfect choice for anyone thinking of a relaxing beach holiday in Punta Cana.
Upon arrival at the resort the first thing you notice is the size of the facility. The lobby is huge with two check-in areas. The rooms are the Deluxe Junior Suites, which have two beds plus a sofa bed and a balcony that is a bit small but useful for two people. The rest of the facilities were newly remodeled and have a lot to offer: 3 buffets, 7 themed restaurants, and a bar that is open 24 hours. The pools are huge, the beach activities are the best, catamarans, sunfish, kayaks, and windsurfing are all free to rent, all you have to do is indicate the number of the room. A good choice if you're considering it but never tried.
The truth was that it was a trip that surprised me. I was surprised by the beauty of everything even with the poverty. It is worth visiting and if you look for a party they may even pass you something to smoke. It´s not something to do every year but once in a while it isn´t bad to visit because over there stress doesn´t exist.
If you go to Santo Domingo, you are sure to have good, sunny weather and completely relax. One of the hotels making all of this possible is the Hotel Gran Bahia Principe. The Hotel is located about half an hour from Punta Cana Airport, and an hour and a half from La Romana. With a half-mile beach of white sand, it also hosts several pools that offer aquagym classes and water games. Like all TI hotels, it has several restaurants: Japanese-style, Mediterranean-style, a grill, a gourmet, Italian-style, etc. There are also tennis courts, mini golf and a water sports center. If you like playing golf, a few meters away are the Punta Blanca Golf Club and the Palma Real Golf Club. Although if you want to enjoy the famous "Teeth of the Dog" golf course, you have to drive an hour and a half to Altos de Chavon in La Romana, but it is also one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world and with stunning sea views.
Dominican Republic is incredible! The people are so friendly and loving. Bavaro beach is beautiful and the hotel where we stayed was a jewel among the rest. The enormous Fiesta Hotel is so great that if we want to visit and enjoy Todal, we had all the facilities available. We had the train at our disposale. The facilities are very well-maintained, the staff is very attentive and the food is really tasty. What more can we ask? Paradise is in the Dominican Republic.
I really liked the location. We went on a few excursions and beach trips, and it was great. The entertainment was the worst thing, due to the timing - too early for us! But that happens in almost every hotel. The beach is beautiful, with fine white sand and crystal-clear waters. Within minutes of walking from the hotel, you find a block full of shops, perfect if you want to do a spot of shopping or pick up some souvenirs.
What I liked about this hotel wass the closeness you feel with the workers. The waiters are nice and their laughter is contagious. Also, the place is awesome. It is located at the top of Samana town, overlooking the sea and from here you can also see see the famous marine bridge that characterizes. there buses to and from the town every hour, but walking is close, about 10 minutes maximum. The views of the town from the viewpoint of the hotel are great. A good place to take pictures in the best hour. It's a great hotel, 100% recommended.
It's very nice and cozy hotel. Their swimming pools are nice and the beach and the food is excellent, and service of very good employees makes it seem like you are in your own home. It has very good family environment and it is even better for couples. I recommend it.
Next to Palladium Bavaro Beach hotel is in Palladium Punta Cana is the tiniest hotel in the resort area of Palladium. It is an All Inclusive, and instead of villas, it is made up of 3 buildings that have 425 rooms and 26 suites. They are on the beach and it has 2 beach bars, Diving Center, Mini club, pool bar, and the restaurant Grape (also serving snacks) at the foot of the beach is The Cortecito. It also has its own lobby, where there is internet and desk recruiting trips. On the back of the buildings there are villas and other services, but they belong to the Grand Palladium Palace Resort. You can use all the facilities of the other hotels in the resort , except for the Royal Suites.
We stayed in this hotel in early June. I had read many reviews of this hotel, both good and bad. To us, the quality : price ratio seemed very good. It's true that we can't compare it with luxury hotels, but it's much cheaper. The Cabeza de Toro beach is beautiful and very quiet, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, if a little slow (like all Dominicans - but you can understand why, as life here is very relaxed and stress free). The pool is not very big, but I went 3-4 times and it was just fine. Great entertainment service, with some decent shows. The room is not huge - this isn't a 5-star hotel - but we didn't spend much time in there. With so much sunshine, who wants to be stuck indoors? And of course, we appreciated the terrace and the king-size bed. The food is good - breakfast and lunch buffet, and dinners in specialty restaurants. A relaxing place with a great atmosphere. We really enjoyed it.
One of the innovative services of Sol Melia Paradisus resort is in the royal service suite. The concept of space, restaurant, lounge bar with an environment where the traveler feels comfort and relaxation. The royal service suite has other great details other than a butler at your disposal 24 h a day. The pool has a romantic design which has places for privacy and relaxation (no kids) just over 18 year olds. Balinese beds are availbale and a space on the beach where the comfort is maximum. In the gardens there is chill-out music, which can be bought at reception. The cd is called "GABI" and is a new brand of clothing from SolMelia. There are restaurants, bars .. and music ... great!
Bavaro is one of my favourite domestic tourist destinations! The beaches are beautiful, with crystal clear water and white sand. On this occasion I stayed at the Barcelo resort. In one of the gardens I meet a beautiful flamingo who posed for picture without any qualms!
We arrived at the airport in Punta Cana in a small plane. The airport is very simple, with a roof made of palm leaves. The tour guide explained that the small wooden houses were typical Dominican buildings. It has eating areas, and is extremely comfortable, with flights arriving from the major cities of the world, especially Europe and America. We moved on to the Riu Palace Macao hotel, a 5-star resort with a three-storey colonial-style building on the beach of Arena Gorda.
It offers all kinds of amenities among towering palms, lush plants and flowers, and a splendid beach with white sands, and clear, warm, turquoise water. The pool is a real beauty, with its water jets and bronze mermaids. Room service was excellent, and the room was spacious. You could have fit another bed in the huge bathroom! Breakfast is served in the dining room until 10 am, with a wide variety of food to suit all tastes. They have aqua gymnastics, a spa, a nightclub, a beach bar serving fresh fruit juices, dancing on the beach, a gym and a casino. There were several restaurants and bars, each with a different atmosphere. We stayed for a week in October, and would really recommend it.
The Hotel Playa Esmeralda is on the beautiful beach of Guayacanes, in the municipality of San Pedro de Macoris. This is the area's most beautiful beach in the eastern Dominican Republic. It's a little corner of paradise where the splendid architecture of its colonial buildings with cane ceilings, panelled walls and typical limestone mix with luxurious tropical vegetation. The small fishing village of Guayacanes is the end of this splendid setting, composed of small, colourful wooden houses that actually represents the true Dominican. Add to this the joy of music and the simplicity of the dignified and serene people.
The Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach All Inclusive Hotel can be found on the Caribbean coast in La Romana, Dominican Republic. It's near Saona Island, which faces the Altos de Chavon and the historic area of the city, near the fishing village of Bayahibe. The hotel provides paid internet access, a Fitness center, six restaurants and bars, tennis courts, an outdoor pool and even some water sports. The Hotel Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace All Inclusive can be found just 20 kilometers away from the International Airport. The rooms feature a fully equipped between what we highlight cable TV, air conditioning and large balconies with great views. Once here you can enjoy a wide range of activities and entertainment.
