Stunning architecture

The strange pointed roof, illuminated in blue at night, that can be seen from Oxford Street is actually that of All Souls Church, which stands at the end of Regent Street. The building owes its stunning architecture to John Nash, George IV's favorite architect, who also designed several other buildings in the area. Opened in 1824, the church is one of the busiest in the city, with its Anglican masses attracting nearly 2500 people a week. Following a bombing in 1940, during the Second World War, it took almost ten years of restoration before the doors could be reopened. Look out for the bust of Nash sitting by the entrance!
