This is one of the largest in Morocco. It is amazing to walk aimlessly around its narrow streets and you need a detailed map for them so you don´t get lost. Inside you can experience all of its historical culture. You need at least four days to visit the many attractions it has. Too bad the "infidels" do not let us enter the mosques and enjoy it. They didn´t let us in the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, either. The Palace is also inaccessible because Mokry has acquired a French firm and does not let people visit. FEZ El-Bali

Great

It is the largest of the two medinas of the city. It was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1981. It was founded by Idris II (Idrisidas dynasty) in 809. It is a maze of narrow streets grouped in 187 districts, each of which receives, by law, a mosque, a religious school, a bakery, a fountain and a hammam or 'steam'. It is considered the world's largest pedestrian area. Here are the main buildings of the city of Fez, the outside buildings are quiet but they are wonderful when you walk through the door. Besides mosques and Islamic schools, many buildings have been made into hotels. Here you can find everything, food stalls, butchers, artisans of wood, metal, leather shops, slippers ....

The Medina of Fes is amazing: millions of streets, a labyrinth in which it is a pleasure to get yourself lost. Feel free to ask for a guide to let you discover the wonders of the place. You should visit furriers and riads. It is an incredible place!
