Tower of pisa

There are two forms of tourism. One where you go and stay in the place for a while. In the second case, where the Erasmus students go and maybe aren´t rushed to visit everything and forget to see some things. There are places I visited, but lived experiences and places that were part of the environment, like sitting on the lawn of Pisa and improvising a meal from the supermarket. When you find a ball and play a game with the shadow of the Leaning Tower as arbitrator it is normal and when you go back home and see the photos you feel like you can lose yourself but you discovered all that isn´t shown in the tourist guides.

The tower of pisa leans a little ...

In Tuscany, Pisa is famous for its leaning tower, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy. This is actually the bell tower of the cathedral adjacent to the "Square of Miracles". Construction of the Tower of Pisa, called "La Torre di Pisa" in Italian, began in 1173. It was erected to show the world that Pisa became a rich and powerful trading empire. Before the end of its construction and because of the ground on which it rests, the tower had already begun to shift. The Tower of Pisa is still occasionally closed to visitors in order to consolidate its base. To climb up the tower it will cost you € 15. It's pretty weird to climb its steps, you really feel this "leaning" effect. At the top, you have a beautiful view of the city of Pisa and especially its beautiful cathedral, I also suggest you visit. Before leaving, you obviously take the picture "that-all-the-world-a" taking the tour with your finger for example.

The most famous leaning tower !!

It seems incredible but when you get closer to the "Piazza dei Miracoli", and you see that tower so famous, so often parodied in photos, drawings, souvenirs ... Is steeper than it looks! The truth is that it is a work of art, so the tower (the Campanile), the Baptistry and the Cathedral itself. To be XII-XIII century were super advanced at the time. Yes that surprises the tower, so that is inclined (in the photos does not look like much, but I recommend going to see it live, to walk through part of the area which is very nice), but also the quality with which they are made the other buildings (there are more, people believe that is only the tower!) A quiet corner that you can visit in one morning (in Pisa not much else), but it is essential to visit though. Not worth paying to enter the monuments, the Cathedral is free entry and is spectacular inside. Climb the tower was worth about € 15 per head ... I found it a bit excessive and over to wait because you can only go in groups of 30 (if I remember correctly).

Climbing dangerous

Who does not know the Tower of Pisa? And who, visiting Pisa, does not try to climb to the top? You can not go home telling you for visiting the city, but not the tower. And then, let's face it, there is a curiosity about the slope: you will hear, you will not hear ...? Well, it would not be such a bad idea if the two climbers were not suffering from vertigo one and the other (the other in this case) of claustrophobia. You can imagine. I'm just saying that getting to the top was a challenge, stopping at each window and along the stairs worn and incredibly inclined! Too bad that once completed the mission, the parties are reversed, and at that point I was to proceed slowly, clinging to the railing, almost crawling. Of this experience I will always remember the old Japanese coming up with proverbial slowness (but with equal resistance, given the age!) And encouraged my traveling companion, parked up for air! Adventure. To do at least once. One, maybe.

Scalate pericolose

Defying gravity

As soon as you approach the site and start to see the top of the tower, you can not help but feel the excitement of knowing who is going to one of those places that are part of all of us forever, even though we have not been there before. The entire area is amazing. The large lawn and plaza space enhances the majesty of the work. The tower is of great beauty and apparent fragility, making it even more striking inclination. Even if you go with the idea of not make the photo, succumb and end up joining the dozens of people who at that time made the most picturesque positions to get photographed next to the tower.

She tilts but does choit item!

As it is hollow, the tower has its center of gravity in a good position to avoid falling. And then, with 15 euros per person to climb inside, it is a lucrative business that can afford to keep in shape. It was so view photo of the favorite face to face is blunt. For cons, I discovered with pleasure some carved stones at the gateway: both naive and other ships from a medieval lighthouse interested me as well as an animal demon.

World heritage site by unesco

Declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. It was built to stand vertically but began leaning as soon as construction began. The cause of the bending of the work was the unstable ground on which the tower was rising. He was about to be destroyed during the Second World Gerra after being destroyed every tower of Pisa by the U.S. Army because they assumed that they were a threat to the positions that could be snipers from these towers. If anyone thought the Pisa Tower remained the more inclined tower in the world, is wrong, now more inclined tower in the world are in Germany, in a small town called Suurhusen, located in Lower Saxony

The leaning tower

What about this place already very experienced in the world ..? Well, after checking, it looks so good! Otherwise practical matter, you can park near the tower in many pay parking or free if you're lucky places ... What is nice, apart from the characteristic of this round is to see the break to take all the tourists to pretend to push or hold the tower! And even if you've seen 100 times this tower photo, I think it is a place to see true anyway because it is still quite surprising!

The tower leans

Known around the world and real emblem of the city, the tower of Pisa amaze visitors at each visit. Indeed difficult to imagine how this building still standing, especially now that the foothills and other reinforced cables have been removed, and that visits are again permitted. Also difficult not to be amazed by this architectural feature! Of course, the place is mobbed with tourists, all eager to be the most original picture. But the place remains absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset when the building is adorned with gorgeous pink color.

Leaning tower

Certainly, it is a bit expensive and complicated to climb up the tower of Pisa ... There is always a crowd of tourists on this historic site dating from 1173. This is one of the most famous monuments in the world, because the tower is tilted. Between 1350 and 2008, for example the tower continued to increase its angle of about 2.5 meters (about 3 more). It should be observed from the field of miracles, then the bottom, on the side, you can watch the tower for hours.

Small penchant for italy

Central attraction of this small town in Italy that is Pisa, the Leaning Tower of Pisa stands in the middle of the main square (Piazza del Duomo). Built in Roman style and a height of 55.86 meters, this stone tower still bears the colors of the famous legend of Galilee (from the top of the tower would Galileo determined the fall velocity for all objects). A true moment of discovery and a relaxing afternoon spent around the Italian building (many cafes and Duomo Square to discover)
