La Torre Coffe- Food

When I saw the crowds of tourists in Pisa, I wondered where I was going to have my midday snack and not fall into a tourist trap. Maybe there were some opportunities in restaurants a bit away from the Cathedral Square, but I went to the "La Torre" cafe which is very close to the famous tower. The establishment also accommodates the local clergy. They heat up (certainly in the microwave) slices of pizza or spinach pie. The espresso is €1 like in deep Italy and there are tables overlooking the tower: a great place for a snack.
