Bamboo Club

A Thamel, nel cuore della vita notturna di Kathmandu, ci si può divertire ad assaporare le tante cucine tradizionali di tutto il mondo nei ristoranti nascosti nelle vie senza nome della città. Stavolta avevamo voglia di messicano e dovendo scegliere tra tre quattro locali che abbiamo incrociato, siamo finiti al Bamboo Club, abbastanza popolare in realtà ma questa sera più vuoto del solito. Il ristorante si trova al primo piano di un vecchio edificio, abbastanza riparato dalla via più trafficata. Il menu della serata ha previsto una partenza sprint con della tequila bum bum, seguita da veg burritos, veg quesedillas e veg fajita. Tutto buono, non siamo degli intenditori di cucina messicana ma le varie portate erano tutte gustose. Il prezzo è contenuto, in media con altri locali turistici della zona, per una cena per due persone, considerando una portata ciascuno e una birra si spendono quasi sempre meno di 10 euro.

The restaurant is located on the first floor of an old building, quite sheltered from the busiest street. The menu for the evening included a sprint start with the tequila boom boom, followed by veg burritos, fajita veg and veg quesedillas. All good, we are not connoisseurs of Mexican cuisine but the various courses were all delicious. The price is contained, on average, with other local attractions in the area, for a dinner for two people, each considering a scope and a beer is almost always spend less than 10 euro.
