Monumental street

In 1692, Constantine Brancoveanu inagurated Calea Victoriei, a street leading directly to the royal residence at Mogosoaia Palace. This was a farm that he had bought about ten years earlier, where he had built a church, a palace, large kitchens, and a park with beautiful greenhouses. It's a magnificent, oak-lined street full of monumental buildings built in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. All in all, it's about 3km. long and you'll need a good two hours to see it all.
