Bonsai Gardens
Bonsai Town, in Toro, Omiya, in Saitama (a stone's throw from the Tokyo Station). It is "cloistered" between the Tobu Noda Line and the JR Utsunomiya Line on the railway. In the bonsai-cho there are lots of greenhouses with bonsai, where you can enter if you wish. They are highly recommended for fans of this art (they are spectacular) Some allow you to take pictures and some don't. It has not been designed with tourists in mind (there are no signs in English) which to me is a plus (its not a tourist area). In the greenhouse Fuyo-in, a very friendly man, gave us a map of the area (in Japanese) but it was still very useful.
