Maxvorstadt

I don't actually know what the official demarcation of the Maxvorstadt neighborhood is considered to be when walking around Munich, but I guess it would be located north of the old town and city center. My personal definition is that it runs from Hohenzollern Strasse (northern boundary) to Thereisen strasse (southern boundary). The area towards the east end is Leopold Strasse. I liked walking around because there are a multitude of bookstores, clothing stores, designer shops, cafes with tables on the street and traditional restaurants where you receive a warm welcome.
