Portuguese home cooking
This is where I go whenever I need my fix of good Portuguese home cooking. Duarte's tavern is located in a little coastal town called Pescadero about 30 minutes from San Francisco. Here, a lot of the citizens, including the owner of Duarte's, come from Portuguese background. I'd suggest getting the clams and chorizo or one of the old-school cod dishes. The restaurant also has a sort of mini-market which sells all things Portuguese, including some wonderful wine.
