El Rinconcillo Restaurant

El Rinconcillo is a classic that should not be missed when traveling to Seville (Andalusia, Spain) and you want to go for tapas or a meal.

Reforms were made in 1898 and they annexed the adjacent building.

It is a typical tavern that retains its primary decor: mahogany bar, an old ceiling with azulejos of which the oldest date back to the seventeenth century (gorgeous).

It is located on calle Gerona 40. Very central.

One thing of note, when you order, whatever you consume is written down by the bartender with chalk, just in front of the place you occupy. After asking for the bill they add up all your drinks and once paid for, they rub it all out, as has been done forever.

It's like suddenly stopping sight in a seventeenth century book surrounded by modern bookbinding’s.

Probably the oldest and best preserved bar in Seville, being that "Las Escobas" is highly modified, the visit is obligatory.

Classic food in a very colourful and cheerful atmosphere.

One of the most typical places in Seville, with great pedigree.

On the ground floor there are stupendous tapas: good cheese, fantastic cured ham and the best spinach with chickpeas I've eaten in Seville.

On the upper floor is a restaurant with a traditional cuisine menu.
