The neighborhood around Boxhagener Platz is a bohemian neighborhood situated in the former East Berlin. I liked the colours of the houses, the casual side, much more relaxed than the Mitte district for example. People dress as they please, some of them barefoot, taking advantage of the sunny day on the terraces of the many cafés. The small Boxhagener square was built in the early 20th century, between the Grunberger street and Krossener street. Before it was called simply square D. Today its colloquial name is "Boxi" and it is a popular spot because of the park at its centre, with games for children.
