La Vega Park

This historic park is a Toledo leisure space. In the medieval period, this open area was used for all kinds of social events, including mass prayers, since the interior streets didn't allow for a lot of space. Over time, its proximity to the city's main entrance prevented construction on this plot of land, maintaining a functional space for lots of activities. With the advent of democracy on the local Consistory, it became urbanized and opened as a park. It's a favourite in Toledo for public events, whether meetings, theatrical performances or concerts. It has monitoring features, tourist office, taxi bank, bars, gazebo, benches, litter bins, WiFi area, toilets, disabled access, etc..
