36 reviews of Palazzo Pitti

Pitti Palace

The Renaissance palace of Pitti is another thing that simply cannot be missed in the Tuscan city. Across the Arno river over most points of interest in the city, it's known just as much for its architecture as for its spectacular gardens. It also used to be a royal residence in the past.

The Pitti Palace is a large building located in the historic center of Florence, just a few blocks from the Ponte Vecchio. It consists of several galleries which can be accessed at the rate selected. Among the most important galleries include: The Gallery of Modern Art, the Museum of Costume, Silver Museum and the royal apartments. It really is a beautiful place, but eventually becomes a bit weighty. I recommend first that you visit the main points (the Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Gallery, Santa Maria del Fiore, etc) and if you have time (and money) would visit the museum, which incidentally I think gardens are worth more worth (can not say for sure since I have not been able to get into them).

Florentine art everywhere

Located on the west bank of the Arno, the famous river crossing Florence, Pitti Palace is one of the main historical monuments, and undoubtedly one of the most imposing and impressive. Housed close to the famous Boboli Gardens and Ponte Vecchio, it fills a place and even a neighborhood. Originally, in the fifteenth century it was the residence of a wealthy Florentine banker, who had built this building to establish its glory and power. The Palace was then bought by the famous Medici family before becoming a public building, including the Royal Palace. Its facade, with its iconic stone hills of Boboli, gives it the appearance of a castle and the palace now houses collections of paintings.

The Pitti Palace

Inratable, Pitti palace is huge architectural mass red located just within non-city center of Florence, in the continuity of the Old Bridge. If outside we did not find very beautiful, it is especially inside, with all these little lounges and beautiful galleries of Renaissance style it's worth it. A visit worthwhile to discover many faces of the beautiful Italian time.

No me pude resistir.
The palace I never got to see. The day I went to visit him, September 26, I stumbled upon a tasting of wines from the region, and of course ... I could not resist. Wine, crackers and sore feet were sufficient grounds to sit and enjoy the afternoon with a glass of wine in hand. The experience was fantastic, I always stay in the memoria.Con the ticket you get a commemorative cup (mine sobrevió the plane). PS: It was celebration in the city, leave photos of the square where is the fake david for you to see the environment

The most imposing in the city.

El más imponente de la ciudad.

Excellent

Amazing ! A unique place that I live with a great illusion. You have many places to get lost is such an immense park. I went in the summer and it can be a bit overwhelming but it was really worth it. Just thinking that it was one person is very impressive how far the power could go back then.

A beautiful palace

Un palacio precioso

Excellent
A beautiful palace. We could not enter, I do not know if by the time we arrived that it was closed or because it does not open to the public, but the truth is that I was excited to see it as it comes out in some movie and television series
