With 171 rooms, this hotel is a real classic of the city of Florence. Named Best Hotel in Florence in 2009, The Westin Excelsior Florence Piazza Ognissanti is located fairly close to the famous Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery, about 900 metres away. Of course, the prices in this city are on the high side, and this hotel is expensive - how could a five-star hotel on the banks of the Arno not be? The train station is 500 metres away, and you can walk everywhere easily.
This four star hotel is located in the heart of Florence, in an elegant nineteenth century building. The hotel offers comfort: rooms are soundproofed with minibar, television and the Internet for free, and there's a breakfast room downstairs. There's also secure parking around the hotel.
The HOTEL BRETAGNA, also known as Residenza Depoca Bretagna, is a three-star hotel on the banks of the River Arno. It is inside Palazzo Gianfiagliazzi, the former home of Louis Bonaparte, King of Holland. The building's location is one of the best to enjoy the artistic and architectural beauties of the wonderful Florence. It is located on the right bank of the Arno about 200 meters from the Ponte Vecchio and from its windows you see the building of the Uffizi Gallery. It is equipped with all the comforts offering a three star amenities and superior rooms also have jacuzzis. The average rate for a standard double room with breakfast, when booked through and intermediary is 109 eutos per room, per day including taxes. If you book through MINUBE we may be able to offer you a better price. I recommend it.
The Athenaeum Hotel is a 4-star hotel in the center of Florence. It's lovely with comfortable rooms equipped with everything you need to relax after a long day. Outstanding and friendly staff, along with the best entertainment facilities will make you enjoy an unforgettable stay.
This summer, I stayed here for six nights during my visit to Florence, and I highly recommend it. It is located close to the bus and train station of Santa Maria Novella, and a tram stop. In about 15 - 20 minutes you can get downtown, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. Part of the hotel has been recently renovated, so it has two zones, so to speak - the old and the new. I requested a room on the modern side, and got it, so keep in mind that this review is only about the new part of the hotel; I don't really know anything about the old. Everything was very clean and in good condition.
The most striking thing about the bathroom was the "hidden" TV, behind a kind of transparent panel. Very original. The breakfast was pretty good, served on the ground floor and offering all the usual selection: fruit, different kinds of pastries, sausages, toast ... there was a coffee machine for hot drinks, or you could order them separately from the waiting staff. There are magazines and books available for you to sit around and read, as well as tourist brochures. The staff were all very nice and friendly, and did their best to communicate with me despite the language barrier.
The Florence CITY HOTEL is a three star hotel located in the historic center of the city. You can walk from the Stazioni Termini (train terminal) which it is very close, about 150 meters. It has been run by the same Florentine family since 1976. It's stylish, clean, comfortable. You can walk to Santa Maria del Fiore, and a number of places that you have to visit as it is in the neighborhood of San Lorenzo. The average price is 120 euros per night, based on double occupancy and 150 euros per night for single occupancy. Although, if you book it through MINUBE we may be able to offer you an even better rate
The HOTEL SAN GIORGIO is on the list of hotels for tighter budgets, which are numerous in Florence. It's a family run hotel, very comfortable and with a great location, close to the main artistic and architectural attractions of this beautiful city. It is located a few blocks from Santa Maria del Fiore, Ponte Vecchio, etc. Prices vary depending on which season you visit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the service is friendly. Try to get a discounted rate through minube, if it works, surely you'll get one of the best rates out there.
It was the first time I had been to Spain and I was afraid of not finding the right hotel. With it not being chain, I was not sure, but on arrival I was glad I had chosen this hotel and not another. It is located in Piazza Santa Maria Novela, very close to Florence station (SMN). Before this area was quite run down but has been remodeled in recent years and is a new area which isn't very crowded with tourists, is quieter than the center, and is almost beside the Dumo, which is five minutes away on foot. You can feel the charm of old building which has a special charm and lives up to its name Rosso (red). The service was excellent, everything that we had hoped for, and they didn't make any mistakes, the room was small but very cozy and the breakfast room very well organised on was a courtyard with lots of light and a covered room. Because of its location and service, expect a higher price, but it was very affordable and I left with a big smile. I recommend it to those who will be in Florence for two days to a week. Ideal for couples because of its atmosphere. The photo attached shows where it is located
Having returned from a tour through Tuscany, while based in beautiful Florence, I would like to share some details with the minube community to complete the information about this area that so many minubers have shared stories about. I'll start with the hotel, which was a pleasant surprise: The Hotel Palazzo Ruspoli is right in the historic center of Florence just 20 meters from the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, which can be seen from the hotel. The hotel's central location is conducive to walking to the main Florentine museums and monuments. Because it only offers breakfast, I thought this hotel operated more like a bed and breakfast. The concierge is only staffed from 8:00 until 11:00 in the morning, and from 14:00 to 18:30 in the evening. The rest of the time the hotel works like a flat; in fact, they give you the keys to the front entrance for you to open the door if you arrive outside the concierge's hours and they refer you to the Hotel Brunelleschi, which is nearby in case you have a problem. This didn't cause any problems for me, on the contrary, the site was very quiet despite being in the heart of the city. The hotel staff, the little I came in contact with him, was very polite and very friendly and the breakfast buffet was substantial. It is a charming hotel, very cozy, and ideal for couples. As for the price, I paid 79 euros per night (breakfast included)for a double room in March. I highly recommended this hotel, I would visit again.
A great hotel, the best I've ever been to in Italy. The service is really first class, and you don't have to worry about anything. In terms of facilities, it's perfect - everything is very new and clean. The breakfast is a varied continental buffet. If you go by car, they have parking, so you can get right to the door without any problems; when you want to take your car again, you'll need to give 20 minutes notice. The price of the parking is competitive (considering that some public car parks charge € 3 an hour, we went out for about 1 to 1.5 € / h), and the service is great - the car can be a real nuisance in Florence. The hotel is a monument in itself. The restaurant in the Torre della Pagliazza, with rounded walls, is the only one of its kind if Florence, and is said to be the oldest building in the city that retains its original appearance. The foundations are of Roman origin and it's believed they could be part of a spa. You have everything bearby: the cathedral 100m, the Piazza della Signiora and Galleria Uffizi 200-300m, the Ponte Vecchio 600m. Its coordinates are: 43 ° 46'18 .15 "N, 11 ° 15'21 .40" E
The hotels in the city are never cheap, but this one has two advantages: the extraordinary roof terrace with a pool, and the conservatory. The decor is a bit outdated, and some things are crying out for renovation, but from here you can walk anywhere in Florence. The service is warm and friendly, and I recommend this as a good place to rest in this beautiful city.
Vivahotel Pitti Palace Al Ponte Vecchio is located next to the Ponte Vecchio and boasts a panoramic terrace on the top floor, where you can relax while enjoying a meal or a drink with views of the beautiful city of Florence. The building dates all the way back to 1200, and is in one of the most picturesque areas of medieval Florence, 100 metres from the Pitti Palace and the Uffizi Gallery. The hotel has a suite on the seventh floor with stunning views. In total, it has 73 rooms.
The ALESSANDRA HOTEL is a highly recommended two star hotel located in the city of Florence in a fantastic location, just a few paces away from the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and it's right next to one of the most posh streets, full of wonderful boutiques and businesses, Via Tornabuoni, is just 50 meters away. The hotel has been owned by the Gennarini family since 1970, and is in a building that was constructed in 1500 by Baccio d'Agnolo, one of Michelangelo's students. The hotel consists of all the current comfort features and comes highly recommended not only for its central location, but also for its good service. With a special rate you can book a room. A standard double room with breakfast and taxes costs around 70 euros a night, and if you book through MINUBE you can get the best fee. I recommend it.
The Fattoria Settemerli (Florence) is a historic Tuscan farmhouse with horse stables and is surrounded by gardens, olive groves and vinyards. The 14th-century farmhouse provides typical Tuscan accommodation. There is a restaurant that serves traditional Tuscan dishes and Chianti wines. Everyday breakfast is served with homemade products of the area. There are 5 bedrooms.
I loved Tornabuoni Becci Hotel! It's a small, quiet, cozy hotel in a Renaissance building and all the decoration is antique. It feels more like a private house than a hotel. We had breakfast at the table you see in the picture, bathed in the soft light that filtered through the curtains. The rooftop terrace was full of flowers and very romantic.
If Florence has one thing, it's hotels. I suggest Hotel Bonciani, although not great, but rather fine. The location is great, right next to the church of Santa Maria Novella and 5 minutes from the Duomo. This hotel has retained a classic Florentine style (as you can see in the entrance and reception). It has about 63 rooms, an American bar, meeting and conference rooms. The rooms have an individual bathroom. I tell you this because in many of the hotels or inns in Florence have a shared bathroom and that's nothing appealing. The room are single or double. If sightseeing is more desired, but as I say, going to Florence is rare that you remain in the room, so the use is minimal. The breakfast is not a thing of another world but not bad, enough to recharge and hit the city. The price of the room was about 137 € for the double and the single was about 115 € for 3 nights and 4 days. Not bad considering that Florence is not very cheap to stay. But yes, it is beautiful by herself.
Camping Michelangelo is close to the center of Florence, which is really the only positive thing I can say about it. From the campsite, you can reach the city center in about 20 or 30 minutes walking while enjoying views of the city. However, the owner apparently use the location as their main selling point so they don't feel they have to keep the place clean or offer good service. Oh, and the icing on the cake: there's a nightclub next door so you can't sleep at all at night. All this for the modest sum of 40.00€ per night!
I was staying in this hotel the week of April 23, 2009. It has outstanding customer service, very friendly and polite. They served us breakfast in the room. The service and cleaning were highlights, as well as the nicely decorated room. It's very near the centre and monuments. Really good ... thanks Filippo!
All of the rooms in the Ac Hotel Firenze have air-conditioning, bathrobes, a daily newspaper and a desk. It offers 24-hour room service, executive floor, elevator, bar and laundry service. Guests can use the hotel's recreational and entertainment services such as massage, gym, sauna, tennis courts, spa and squash courts.
