1 review of Pilling and Preesall sands

Walking on water

Excellent

During our weekend in the area of Preston, on the west coast of England, one of our goals was to explore the local beaches. The beach next to the village of Pilling was particularly highly recommended. The first thing we noticed was how difficult it was to find! We passed through a forest, and when we thought we were on our way to a mountain ... suddenly the beach appeared! We found a place to park and a sign informing us that we were in a protected natural area.

A huge beach, with white sand and amazing waters. The water feels more like the Mediterranean, apparently due to a curious microclimate in the water of this particular Lancashire bay.
