A salmon river

The Lochy River is most famous for being one of the most productive sources of salmon in this part of Scotland. It covers about 15 kilometer before merging with the Loch Linnhe on the west side of Fort Williams. The most striking part of the river is near Inverlochy Castle, where the waters and scenery are a little wilder. As we approach Ben Nevis, the river changes name to the River Nevis.
