Impressive and very photogenic
This recently-opened Sofitel hotel chain really caught my attention for its cool architectural design. In fact, it has won the award for best building in Chicago over the past ten years. I can not speak about the inside since I haven't even been in the door, but the outside is wonderful. It is a huge triangular tower of glass tapered from its southern edge as if done by a giant axe. Furthermore, it leans forward so that the upper floors literally hanging over the street. I don't know how the rooms of the tip are (pretty close together, I assume) but I'm sure the views are spectacular. It's located in the Water Tower area, almost facing Hancock Tower.
If you have the budget for it, I'm convinced that it must be a great hotel. In any case, the building is impressive and very photogenic.
