Offensive, shocking, because the waiters insult the guests who come in and do not to tip more than what they want, as it is not mandatory and it depends on the attitude and service provided. I will not go with my family, I would rather go to another place the next time I go to Merida.
The Merida harbanos tacos are delicious! Your pita bread is prepared then and with garlic cream and chipotle sauce. They have beer for good prices and deals. Their wings are delicious charcoal grilled-are on the side of depott in extension office if they come to Merida montejo ride I recommend this restaurant. It was in Francisco de Montejo but by the success of their food is changed to a bigger place
El Amigo Casiano runs the most frequented food stall in the market. That's always a good sign. They sell simple Mexican dishes and omlettes. They also serve very good breakfasts (it opens early) and have natural juices and delicious flavored waters. The price is really unbeatable and the quality of the food is very good. It is a perfect place to eat something quick and simple. A good way to eat on the street (a very common activity in Mexico) without worries.
The restaurant Chichen Itza is in the facilities of the hotel. Chichen Itza was completely renovated in the year 2003 and the hotel offers tourist tours used in the Yucatan Peninsula. The food was not the best in Mexico, as the buffet was somewhat sparse and the waiters serve you. Among the dishes that could be found: spaghetti, chicken, white rice, etc ... Best of all, meals are acclimated with typical regional dances, a rarity for European tourists like and they can be seen dancing with bottles in the head and tray of glasses and a bottle of beer. Chichen Itza in the restaurant where 80% of the organized tours stop by. In fact the 2 times I went to see the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza we stopped here to eat.
Los Almendros is a culinary institution in Yucatan. We tried the local specialties, Yucatecan chicken leg grilled pork, tacos, etc. We could almost not leave the table at the end of the meal because we were so full. With 60 years of history, Los Almendros is a tradition in Merida and known for its authentic Yucatecan food. It is the creator of the famous poc-chuc a roast pork served with chili, tomato, onion, string beans and tortilla. There are restaurants in Merida, Ticul (on the Chetumal road) and Cancun (Av. Tulum, on the side of the police station.) The menu includes pictures to help you choose. Their menu is only Yucateco.
Here one can eat very well and the pizzas are made in a stone oven. The deal is very good .... I definitely recommend it. We recommend the "campfire 1", they are finger-licking good and they are big, made for two.
With its international, regional, and Spanish menú, the guests will be delighted with the special care taken in the flavors of each dish and beverage.
There is a total capacity of 60 people; and in the evenings, the effect of the small lanterns which light the space make it romantic and charming.
Our bar offers a selection of domestic and imported liquors, with a capacity of 30 guests in our beautiful garden.
Mérida Yucatan restaurant with an excelent flavor in every dish.
