Whenever I have the opportunity (I’ve already gone a couple of times), I like to eat at this great churrasqueria. The located is something else. It’s located on the top of San Roque mountain, providing for some incredible views of the Viverio river and Cobas beach, etc. Inside, there’sthe Saint Roque chapel, a granary, and it’s a place where festivals are held in the middle of July, as it has a large structure to celebrate outdoor meals.
It specializes in meats but their large variety of fish from the river is also very good (sardines with the spine taken out and already opened up) and the homemade desserts like the rice pudding and the cream cheese are great and traditional dishes from the area.
This inn was opened last year and is on the road in Chavin about 3 or 4 miles from Vivero, and toward the Natural Monument Souto da Retort A Taberna do trunk is in a quiet and is large, has the capacity for 30 people, and there are some game animals decorating a wall of bright pink, almost fuchsia, which suggests that the owner is, or like taxidermy. A Taberna do Trunk is a rural family tavern where you can taste fine regional cuisine typical of the region, as a good tripe, game meat, octopus, ham, some good mussels, grilled seafood or rice with lobster ( on request). Corns are the specialty of the house, so this year next August 9 will be a day dedicated to delicious food on an esplanade as well as an antique car shows.
Situated in the village of Chavin, the inn O Pumariño is a recommended restaurant. Small but with unique decor , we can choose from a menu ranging from squid as starters to the great grilled meat as a second. The desserts are homemade and are delicious chestnuts in syrup. The room is accessible from 14:00 and closed on Wednesdays,
Normandie's restaurant but also a place for tapas where you can try a mix of tapas, traditional of the area like the Galician octopus, raxo with fries, spicy pork, squid, etc.. Homemade desserts. It is located in the heart of town and has fair prices.
This restaurant is in the center of Vivero, on one of the pedestrian streets t, surrounded by stores and other bars. It is a small place that has a bar area and a restaurant. It is decorated in a rustic style, with stone walls, metal lamps, wood bar, and some pictures that caught my attention with miniature objects inside. As I say, it is small, but busy. The dining area will have only about 5 tables and the bar has a couple of low tables against the wall and as many high with stools, just in front of the bar. It is a popular place to enjoy wine, do not stop moving because the waiters with trays of tapas and snacks for you to take (in fifteen minutes passed at least 7 times!). Regarding the letter from the inn, is based on typical servings of Galician cuisine: octopus, squid, scrambled eggs, hash, scorpion fish cake, knives, etc.
Frigate is a Jamoneria in the center, but also a café and is the place to stop for breakfast when I go to this village of Lugo because besides being a contemporary and big café, they have a good breakfast because they have a variety of desserts. Frigate is also beer and great environment usually on the weekends, and it has 2 inputs or outputs, ie the cafeteria is open on 2 streets, one of the promenade and the other to the main street.
Café Kiev was one of the 1st places I went to 4 years ago, when I arrived in Viveiro, a nice, relaxing, good decoration all wrapped in soft music. In winter it is the ideal place to enjoy a coffee next to the fireplace and chat with migos, weekends it changes to a pub with alternative music.
The restaurant is decorated well and in a quiet and central pedestrian area of Viveiro, food very good and good presentation, we ordered grilled octopus and veal and beef fondue, all great, the only but is that unless you want to spend too much money is not the right place, as it cost us € 54 , the average price minimum is 30 per person.
My family and I were going Viveiro during Easter, on the recommendation of a friend we went to eat at this restaurant. What a disappointment. It was terrible. But that wasn´t the worst, it was so expensive. We wouldn´t recommend it to anybody.
Boa Vista Restaurant has a menu based on local produce and seafood from the fish market Celeiro, is a food based on quality product with some elaborations to enhance it. The wine list includes the OJ Galician and Spanish and an international wine with a tour of the best wineries seeking a balanced menu. It also has a letter of exaltation of gin and tonic, I always feel like the desktop. And in summer on the terrace overlooking the sea. The most representative dishes include Marinated clams, clam chowder, crispy black pudding on applesauce, the steak with mushrooms and ham, baked lamb and especially markets and seafood, hake, monkfish, sea bass, barnacles, crabs, etc.
We were led through the forums, ordered the grilled seafood and everything was very good and some dishes on the side tables looked great. But I think the prices are a bit excessive, it came to € 106 and 2 Cokes
It is an interesting place with great views but if you just want to enjoy the terrace having a drink and enjoying the view you see preparing the portfolio because you can only enter if you are eating. A shame.
