Del’s iconic yellow lemon logo can be spotted all over the Ocean State, and their frozen lemonade - which comes in a variety of fruit flavors in additional to the original - can be found almost anywhere. (Look out for the trucks and stands at beaches and other popular spots.)
But the Cranston location was the first, and if you’re into that sort of thing - in addition to tasty cold drinks on hot days - you might want to make a stop here. The DeLucia family opened this stand in 1948, selling a version of the lemon ices they had made in Italy since the 19th century. The business quickly grew from there, and although Del’s products can now be found in other states, that yellow lemon still reads as classic Rhode Island.
Located just a few short blocks away from the shore, Crazy Burger is the best place in Narragansett to enjoy a meal. I visited Crazy Burger after a glowing recommendation from my parents who adamantly stated it was the best burger they had ever tasted. I enjoyed the sweet risotto corn fritters, the wassupy burger, and the mocha cookies, which are served with the big train chai drink. The burger was delicious, but the real stars of the meal were the fritters and the mocha cookies. In addition to fabulous food, Crazy Burger had a cool atmosphere and a friendly staff.
The Silver Spoon Bakery is located in the cute downtown of East Greenwich, which is a town bursting with wedding related shops. The Silver Spoon Bakery caters to those looking for a delectable sweet treat or for brides and grooms looking for desserts for their special day. The Silver Spoon Bakery sells delicious cupcakes, French macarons, cake, and cake pops. They also have a gluten free menu. When I visited the Silver Spoon Bakery they were offering a special price for the purchase of two cupcakes and a small bottle of prosecco. This deal was perfect for two to share in their cute indoor space.
Looking for a special meal out, but want something a bit less traditional? Look no further than Milagros. Located in the beautiful Stonington Borough is Milagros, a specialty Mexican restaurant with a cozy indoor space and small outdoor area. Milagros has absolutely delicious food and I've honestly not had Mexican food like this before in the area. Anything with their homemade mole sauce. In a past visit to Milagros I had the duck tacos and they were so good. Because Milagros has very few tables it is best to arrive early or be prepared for a bit of a wait. The food is worth the wait though!
