Del’s iconic yellow lemon logo can be spotted all over the Ocean State, and their frozen lemonade - which comes in a variety of fruit flavors in additional to the original - can be found almost anywhere. (Look out for the trucks and stands at beaches and other popular spots.)
But the Cranston location was the first, and if you’re into that sort of thing - in addition to tasty cold drinks on hot days - you might want to make a stop here. The DeLucia family opened this stand in 1948, selling a version of the lemon ices they had made in Italy since the 19th century. The business quickly grew from there, and although Del’s products can now be found in other states, that yellow lemon still reads as classic Rhode Island.
