Rental Bikes
Like Washington and many European cities, Boston has a system of rental bikes available throughout the city. The operation is simple, and may be familiar to you from other travels: create a card with your user account ($ 12 for 3 days, 5 per 24 hours), and then the first half hour is free and the following will be charged to your account. If you're smart, you can just return the bike to any station within the first 30 minutes, and take another! The only problem is that there are not as many stations as you might like, so you'll waste a bit of time looking for a place to leave the bike ... but it's still a good way to get around!
