The Monte Lourido itself is a large gazebo, located in the vicinity of the marsh of Foz do Miñor (Nigran) a mere 20 kilometers from the town of Vigo. It is anticipated that this large gazebo is included in the Rede Natura 2000, as are the marshes of Foz do Miñor, Its natural and scenic environment makes it ideal as a nesting grounds for many birds. Most of all, Lourido Mount is a residential area with houses and tennis courts, but it is a very quiet place with plenty of trees and, as I say, an excellent viewpoint of the Marshes of Foz do Miñor as well as a spectacular view of American Beach, Cies Islands and the great beach in Sabaris Ladeira, between Ramallosa and Bayonne. You can enjoy a great walking tour and enjoy the beautiful scenery, including the XII century Roman bridge of Ramallosa. Http :/ / www.Minube.Com/rincon/70248
I have been here several times and I must say ,as a lookout, it is spectacular. It is situated a few kilometers from the city of Olívica, approximately 10 km and is one of the most visited as it offers panoramic views of Cies Islands and Panxón and America beaches on the other side, where the surfing is great. At the height of the viewpoint is the Universal Navy Memorial from which you can enjoy magnificent views of the Wakes Islands, Cies Islands and Bayonne.
