The best things to do in Brighton

Like all great destinations in southern England there are certain essential things to do in Brighton. In this case the most famous of the Brighton attractions is the Royal Pavilion, a Royal Palace built by King George IV. It's a fascinating building, with an interior that is a mixture of Asian styles.

The Brighton Pier is another of the most famous places to visit in Brighton. It's one of the oldest and longest piers in the world, so walking along it and enjoying the views is, for most tourists, one of the unmissable Brighton activities. The historic West Pier is practically non-existent today, and only you can see the skeleton of what once was the most famous dock in the world.

Another of the most important cultural things to see in Brighton is the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, located in the Barracks Cultural Center next to the Royal Pavilion. Here you can see treasures and artwork from Britain and Europe, as well as also other pieces from America and other countries. And if you're looking for attractions in Brighton of a more religious character, you can't miss the Church of San Nicholas, the oldest church in the city.

But there's more to offer the tourist looking for stuff to do in Brighton: check out St. Bartholomew's Church and St. Peter's and the Middle Street Synagogue, a synagogue considered the second most important historical building of the city.
