Chan Chan (the name means Sun Sun), and I´m not surprised, because the day I visited there was an excruciating heat. It is the biggest adobe in Latin America and the second in the world, constructed by the Chimu 5km from Trujillo. It was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 1986 and the city is formed by 9 walled cities or small towns. The whole kingdom was the capital of the Chimu culture Chimor and is an amazing place to visit .

The Plaza de Armas is a bit different from traditional squares due to the beautiful cathedral in the corner. With its warm yellow color, you can't miss it. There are several other colonial buildings of different colors featuring charming wooden balconies. In the center of the square is a monument to Liberty, surrounded by pools.

El Mirador
(7)
The viewpoint resort is a place to spend with family. You must choose the day you would like to visit, and it is advisable to go in weekends or to start on a Monday because it is much quieter. The road to Simbal is full of greenery, the project Chavimochic, we passed a sugar cane factory. At the tourist complex we had to pay 10 SOLES. With our ticket we could enjoy the food , overlooking the pool and I recommend going in the morning because if not the dishes will sell out. If you want to bring money you can buy ice cream, soda, etc. We also had the famous PICARONES!! They are very good. It is said to have two gaming environments where kids could ride horses, and also a small train ride for the children. It has a wide field and courts for volleyball and football., Parking. A very attractive black man sang. Also there was a mini zoo ... Where one could find peacocks, and a lamb was born recently, among other animals. We found lots of plants.

Surfing in Trujillo
Surf in Chicama
LOCATION: North of Peru, on the La Libertad Coast, at km 614 of the Panamerican Highway. It is almost 2km long, with a mix of sand and rocks. The wind blows constantly, creating huge waves, and from north to south there's always a strong current of air. The waves are between 0.5 and 2 metres, depending on the wind. To enjoy the best surf, come between March and October, although there are waves all year round. You'll need a 5'8 "to 6'7" surfboard. The water is cold all year, so it's advisable to use a full wetsuit. You'll need to wear boots, too, as there are sharp rocks. There are hotel services with transport, offering prices between 40 and 90 dollars a day.

One of the first things to see in Trujillo is the historic center, known as Cercado de Trujillo. Its monuments, especially buildings representing colonial and religious architecture, date back to the viceroy era and are great attractions in Trujillo.

One of the busiest places to visit in Trujillo is Avenida de España, a street that offers visitors a multitude of possibilities from seeing monuments or having a coffee . The Freedom Monument is another one of the important things to do in Trujillo. It is a sculpture located in the center of the Plaza de Armas and is one of the most popular Trujillo attractions. It has three parts. The first is on a circular platform and supports the sculptures representing art, science, commerce, and health. The second consists of three statues and the third part has several badges.

Some of the religious-themed stuff to do in Trujillo includes visiting the cathedral, which was built between 1647 and 1666 and houses the Cathedral Museum and has mainly colonial-era religious works in gold and silver. Another important attraction is the church and monastery of El Carmen, a temple characterized by its various altars and wooden pulpit. Another one of the good Trujillo activities is taking a tour and stopping at the Huaca Esmeralda and the Huaca del Dragon. There are two archaeological sites associated with the Chimu culture.
