This is located on a small hill known as Cerro del Palo, from which there is a great view of the Laguna de la Fuente de Piedra (reserve-natural-lake-of-source-of-stone). From inside there is a beautiful view from the large window that looks out onto the lagoon. There is an exhibition of photographs of the lagoons and other wetlands of Andalusia and especially flamingos. There are guided tours for bird watching. The center is named after Jose Antonio Valverde, biologist and ecologist born in 1926 in Valladolid who was one of the pioneers of the conservation of wetlands in Andalusia. He died in Seville in 2003.
