Stavanger is a lovely and visitor-friendly city that serves as the gateway to Norway's magnificent fjords. The Radisson Blu Atlantic is very centrally-located hotel on the banks of a small lake in the city center. The staff are charming and kind and the rooms are spacious and have excellent views. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are definitely big enough. The breakfast is pretty good, and the wifi in the rooms worked perfectly. We wished the air conditioning had worked better, but it wasn't exactly essential at the time we visited. Everything was clean - highly recommended.
This hotel is located opposite the port of Stavanger, and some rooms overlook it. The decor is simple, and the building resembles what it once was, an old cannery, although it has been renovated to make it comfortable and spacious. It has a great breakfast buffet, delicious and varied, and the perfect location to get around the city or go to the port for a ferry to the fjords.
Jorpeland is the perfect city to make basecamp before going to Preikestolen. There's a bus stop which takes you right to the national park gate and if the bus does not appear it's not much more expensive to take a taxi. We timed it well and the friendly receptionist really helped to stay organised and not miss out on one of the most spectacular things in Norway. The rooms are good and the place is super quiet, breakfast was coming and as we had to leave at 6 in the morning we made a picnic and they called us a taxi the day before so we had no problem. A perfect 10 for the staff and the hotel.
Excellent! Great Value (690 kr double room) with breakfast buffet, waffles all day at 21hrs, toilet in the room. Very welcoming, central, and after exploring the difficult and expensive accommodation in Stavanger, it was our best choice! Highly recommended!

Its situation allows visitors to access the majority of the tourist attractions and historical monuments just a walk away. The rooms sport a new look due to its recent refurbishment and renovation.
