Looking for rural lodging that allowed dogs for the weekend in Sierra de Cazorla, we were recommended this hotel and I must admit that it was a success.
The hotel is located between the towns of Coto Ríos and Arroyo Frío in the longitudinal road which crosses the park and runs from Cazorla to Tranco de Beas.
Upon arrival at the hotel and entering the reception, my first impression was that I’d entered a lodge in Maasai Mara, a Macaque, elephant feet, a bear, and even a lion (stuffed of course), every wall filled with photos of the owner, showing off his hunting trophies... Well, different strokes for different folks.
After the surprise, we descended a slope to find the rooms, pavilions located to the side of a beautiful lake. The rooms are very spacious; the beds huge, they even have a nice fireplace to make it cosier on cold mountain days.
The bathroom is very complete with an assortment of towels with embroidered logo that are changed daily.
There is also a terrace with chairs and table, to contemplate the lake or enjoy the breeze at night ... and surprise surprise, there are hardly any mosquitoes.
The hotel's lake is private, and if you like, you can even fish without a fishing license. There are trout, catfish and carp, as well as several species of ducks and turtles, a pier and a nice pool surrounded by a manicured lawn.
Pets can roam at their pleasure around the facilities as you stroll along the lake. A highly recommended site.
This is a beautiful 4 star hotel, situated in an old palace belonging to the Davila family (protagonists of the reconquest of Jaén). It is situated in the historic center just 50 meters away from the cathedral. Its location is a little tricky to get to by car. It has a covered patio, which houses the reception room and a courtyard with swimming pool.
This hotel offers a variety of services such as: Restaurant, Bar, 24 hour Reception, Newspapers, Garden, Terrace, Rooms / Facilities for Disabled Guests, Elevator, Safety Deposit Box, Soundproofed Rooms, Heating, Luggage Storage, Gay Friendly , Air Conditioning and Designated Smoking Areas.
The Palacio de Los Salcedo Hotel is a 16th century building that received its name because it was once the palace for the Counts of Salcedo. Although it retains the Gothic charm, it's been fully renovated and offers its guests all the comforts they might need, including internet access in the rooms that are arranged around beautiful courtyard arches. The only thing I thought was missing was a little more natural light in the rooms. The location of this hotel is unbeatable because it's in the old town part of Baeza (which is also a World Heritage Site).
We chose this hotel for this trip and the truth is that our impression was very good. It offers great service and the room, although it was a little small, was quite original and the bathroom had a hydromassage. The hotel's location is excellent, very central, although that was a problem to find parking. It is a charming hotel.
Hotel Afan de Rivera is in Jaén. There's room service and full breakfast. It's desirable location is ideal for tourists as it is in the heart of the city. Enjoy bars, restaurants, museums and walks. The rooms are bright and fully equipped for your stay in this wonderful hotel.
This is a small hotel, ideally located in the heart of Ubeda. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the reception staff are lovely. As there are no staff on reception at night, we were given a key to the front door so we could come and go as we pleased. We will definitely return one day.
This is a XVI Century palace which has been recently restored, retaining the charm of the original building, but with the comforts of a modern hotel. It has a friendly, family atmosphere and is focused on the comfort of its guests. Furthermore, it has been tastefully decorated with attention to detail and in accordance with its architecture.
