Communities Miskitas

In 2004 I was sent by the Chamber of Small and Medium Nicaragua Tourism Industry (CANTUR) to explore Miskito near Bilwi, Puerto Cabezas in Nicaragua to put in a bid for that region. The result was the route of the Gods: In the footsteps of Walpatara. This is a beautiful rural region, with live indigenous cultures and a lovely mixed people with lots to offer. I hope one day you will get to visit it. From Managua you can take a flight to Puerto Cabezas Bilwi and contact any of the travel companies or the Tourism Institute.
