Corkscrew Museum

Di musei strani ne è pieno il mondo, quindi perché Barolo, meta "sacra" del turismo enologico nelle Langhe, dovrebbe fare eccezione? Risalendo la stretta via acciotttolata che conduce al castello dei Falletti, in quello che rappresenta il centro storico del paese, un grosso cavaturaccioli preannuncia appunto il Museo del Cavatappi. Entrando si accede a quella che un tempo era una cantina caratterizzata dalle tipiche volte a botte. L'esposizione, che comprende un enorme quantità di cavatappi, è invece moderna. Ci sono pezzi strani, divertenti, di varie dimensioni, antichi o moderni, decorati con figure animali o realizzati in materiali preziosi come l'oro, l'argento, l'avorio. Ce ne sono per tutti i gusti ed in grado di incuriosire persino chi non è interessato alle tematiche legate all'enologia. All'interno è anche presente un'enoteca dove acquistare note etichette locali e souvenir in tema.

The entrance leads to what was once a wine cellar characterized by typical barrel vaults. The exhibition, which includes a huge amount of corkscrews, is rather modern. There are pieces strange, funny, of various sizes, ancient or modern, decorated with figures or animals made of precious materials such as gold, silver, ivory. There is something for every taste and able to intrigue even those who are not interested in issues related to oenology. Inside there is also a wine shop where you can buy souvenirs and local label notes on topic.
