Largo 9 Abril

This square is just below the train station and Viana Shopping Center. It's a rectangular square with by gardens and trees around the perimeter. In the center is the Military Monument, a kind of stone obelisk topped by a cross on a shield, at the bottom there's a commemorative plaque. Directly in front of this monument there's a building that houses the headquarters of social action services Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo.
