Napa Valley

Napa Valley is a sophisticated wine region in the heart of California, approximately 100km north of San Francisco on Highway 29. It is a region surrounded by the Mayacamas and Vaca mountains, and the geography and climate together make it a perfect place for growing good grapes. This is where you'll find the finest Californian wines! I visited in winter, when the crops were neither flowery nor full of grape clusters, but still I found plenty of good food and good wine to sample.
