Unique experience to take home from India

Excellent

One of the experiences I remember most about my trip to India was the Aarti ceremony on the banks of the river Ganges. It was carried out every night, and can only be performed by young members of the Brahmin caste (the upper class in India). Many people come together to enjoy the moment, the truth is that it is a unique experience. You start being a spectator, but as the minutes passed, the local people encouraged you to participate, so you get involved and you get to have a special moment. The atmosphere is unique. Smoke Ceremonies

From a smoke base which is said to clean even the soul, with bells and other gadgets, they call the Great Mother, which becomes the Ganges River. The smoke can invade the whole space, it is curious that no one is alarmed by the poor visibility or the potential toxic nature of the smoke. They say that it wipes everything clean and it is even healthy. There are a thousand ways to call the "Gods", this becomes very popular in India .. with smoke. After nearly half an hour of the ceremony and the crowd began to tighten. If one day you come do not forget the water.

Varanasi: Ganga Aarti Ceremony

Every day at sunset this ceremony is repeated in the Ghats of Dasaswamedh and Man Mandir in Varanasi. The ceremony was very solemn, crowds of devotees gather who arrive on foot or by boat. During the ritual, where the smoke, fire and water are protagonists, the chant songs to the beat of bells and drums, burn sandalwood, and offerings are offered to the sacred Ganga.
