Ceiling with gilded stucco vaults
Among the most impressive aspects of the Ducal Palace is the staircase leads to the 2nd floor leading to the great halls. It's the work of Sansovino and was built 1554-1558, after the great fire of 1483. The ceiling with gilded stucco vaults, which gives its name to the staircase, was later decorated by Alessandro Vittoria.
