St. Nicholas Church

This was one of the moments I found myself speechless from the moment I crossed the threshold of the church hoping to find the alley the Church of St. George after reconstruction. Imagine my surprise when I found a lovely front altar that stood out like a black pearl in the back of the church and that pushed me to further investigate the jewels of the building.

There was also an altarpiece of made up of 5 German style pieces with four painted panels and a front lofty figure carved in stone. What an immense ordeal this must have been for the sculptor, and indeed it makes you feel small before its grandeur.
