Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary

1 review of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary

An enchanting experience

An extraordinary moment, spectacular, unforgettable! I'm talking about the sighting of whales in Boston Bay. Right next to the New England Aquarium you can climb aboard a powerful catamaran that in 75 minutes will take you to the Stellwagen Bank whale sanctuary. In this area, humpback whales and dolphins find food easily and you can get really close to observe them. The giants of the sea will enchant you as they slap the surface of the sea with their fins, as if in greeting, before arching their humped backs and showing their wonderful tails. A biologist on board the ship explains the marine ecology and behavior of these mammals and their offspring.
