The Best River Beach in Rishikesh

The Ganges, in Rishikesh, hypnotizes you. It's hot, and the water is so clear that all you want to do is swim and dive. On its way through the outskirts of the city, the holy river is full of coves and crannies ideal for swimming, but nothing is like the 'Goa', a beach that's a 15 minute walk from Ram Jhula. The place, which obviously has no sign, can be reached by a detour from the main road marked through the dense forest. It's truly a paradise with white sand, large rocks and the cool, fast flowing river. It's beautiful. Getting into the water - out of respect, women never wear only a swimsuit, but are always covered with a sarong - is an unforgettable experience.
