Town Hall

Pau town hall or "hotel de ville" as they say in French, is located in an amazing house well worth a visit. It is an example of a three-storied mansion with a dazzling front elevation. The central part of the building is formed by a gigantic arch forming the doorway of the building topped by another stone arch which is loaded with ornamentation. There are beautiful large windows on both sides of the facade with a balcony in the middle. The building is of the the same color as that of most of the monuments in the city, including the cathedral, it is a grayish color stone with blue roofs that give it a look of incredible elegance.
