Blanco y Verde is a restaurant located in the center of Conil that serves excellent local wine, seafood and grilled meats, all from the coast of Cadiz. It has a beautiful Andalusian courtyard and two indoor dining rooms. All the dishes that we tried were delicious, from potatoes with garlic sauce to the homemade desserts. The service was great, too. To get there, follow the road until the roundabout where you'll see the local police station. There, turn right and you'll see a sign for the restaurant across the street. The surprising highlights of the menu for me were cuttlefish with garlic and the clams. Definitely a place to go back to!
Luxurious restaurant on the beach. The paella de carabineros (giant, red shrimp) is spectacular. The squid and sea bass are also very well done. In general, the food was very good quality. I believe that whatever you ask for at this place, you will not be disappointed. Moreover, being an airy and seafront restaurant, you are in luxury.
Before entering the Plaza Espana and through the town gate, if you look to the right you will find one of the best tapas bars in Conil. In the corner of Madonna and Prieta. No menu, no table service, food is requested in the bar and it is documented on a board. You have to go early if you want to catch sight of the bar or the tables with high stools, but it is worth it when you taste the exquisite tapas and sandwiches, with a cold beer. Try the roe, the tuna sandwiches, fried fish, prawns and the rice - it will surprise you. Everything is fresh, it opens at 13:30 and closes when it ends, about 16:00, it also opens at night around 21:30. All the people that I have recommended it to loved eating there.
I visited this restaurant last summer. You eat very well and if you go in the afternoon / evening the sunset from the terrace is beautiful. The day I went there were mainly foreign tourists, but it also had some Spanish tables. Quality.
This restaurant, located on one of the narrow streets in the center of the historical area of Conil, has a lovely terrace and a pleasant interior. The food is typical of Andalusia and what stands out are the freshly caught fried "pescaito," seafood tapas and a large variety of tapas. At the back of the bar-restaurant is a very cozy little patio for those ve prefer eating more "formally". The patio is shaded by an awning and many plants, so it is very nice and protected from the heat of summer. You are served quite quickly and the prices are average for this part of the Cadiz coast.
Chiringuito Casa Diego is located on Playa Chorrillo in Conil de la Frontera. Access to the beach bar (and the beach) is either through the huge stretch of sand that faces the town or down the street just before the official downhill slope towards Playa de la Fontanilla. From the latter point, there are steep stairs that save the cliffs down to the beach and access to the kiosk is through the wooden walkways. In this well-maintained wooden kiosk which serves tapas, rations and, of course, they also offer meals, with a specialty paella dish. Especially notable are the homemade gazpacho, delicious, super tasty and refreshing, especially now during the summer. Moreover, despite being on the beach, unlike other bars in the area, the prices are quite reasonable especially considering the pleasure of having a cold beer in a swimsuit, and right on the beach! It has a few tables outside the beach bar on the sand itself, but most of the stall is under a tent that protects travelers and vacationers from the relentless sun that always strikes this beautiful coast. If you come to Conil de la Frontera and Chorrillo and visit the beach, I recommend visiting this excellent beach bar, it is really worth their status, your peace of mind and also their prices.
Café Bar La Diligencia is a family-friendly place with a terrace. We ordered several tapas all at a great price and quite abundant. Especially recommended are: sirloin with whiskey, chicken kebabs, salad and croquettes. All homemade. The service was very quick and we were well looked after. Simply a discovery. We will repeat.
Located on the beautiful beach of the boats (la playa de los bateles) in Conil de la Frontera is the snack bar Casa Manolo. It has a varied menu of rations, all delicious, but either the fried fish (puntillitas, plaice, cuttlefish,...) or onions (tuna) takes the cake. It is busy on summer days but it is a great place to eat or have a beer without leaving the beach. Casa Manolo has great prices and a great atmosphere.
Great! Dogfish and onions, tuna, choco meatballs, puntillas. It's simple, a good deal, and a good price. It's a place to enjoy the rest of this pretty town. Local people deserve good beaches and holidays.
A young and innovative space, whether for decoration or your dishes. A sunny terrace, where you can see great sporting events of the year. At the Al Almazara the service is always attentive and quick with a good smile. Highly recommended and the prices were a pleasant surprise.
Greetings travelers. The brewery Almadraba is located near the beach, in the bar area in town. It's typical, like a good fishing spot, decorated with paintings and nets where you can taste fresh fish. With a menu for two people will give you a good salad for each and a plate of "fried fish" fingers chuparás. Very economical. I remember that with drinks it was 7 euros per person. Pretty good considering where it is located. A part of the menu has tapas. In general what you should not miss is some fish or seafood because this village has a long tradition of being good and cooks it very well without excess oil and stuff. Highly recommended if you are in Conil
This is a simple restaurant, with quality grilled meat, as well as a wide variety of tapas, montecito, varied dishes, hamburgers etc. They usually have inflatables for children, and Sunday night children's entertainment. Low prices , friendly service, and great parking! This is a happy place for children, and it fits all budgets.
Mediterranean cuisine with fresh quality products. As is common along the coast of Cadiz, tuna is one of the main protagonists in the kitchen, though there are also vegetarian dishes from the garden. The menu is varied, with assorted wines, and a daily menu as well. The place is quite cozy, has a very nice atmosphere, and very good service. A place to eat well, and have a good time in Conil de la Frontera.
I guess that you like to eat well and leave satisfied. It makes sense. And on your travels, you look for good places so that you leave with fond memories. This also makes sense. Well today I bring to your attention a place which I love because of its excellent cuisine and great value for money. It's very close to Conil de la Frontera, in a hamlet called El Colorado: Venta Melchor Restaurant, a place to remember. Here you can taste local cuisine, traditional dishes and innovative recipes that tantalize your taste buds. We have lunch there and we have a great time. Everything is delicious and you should ask Juan Carlos - the owner and a real showman - what he recommends. And his wife, Petri, in the kitchen cooks with her heavenly hands. My children have eaten breaded swordfish whose deliciousness almost brought tears to my eyes. Do not forget to try their tasty entrées: partridge paté, gazpacho, black rice with cuttlefish, rice with carabineros (giant, red prawns), seasoned potatoes or their clams with eggplant. Everything's exquisite. There are 10 main dishes. If there are stews, you should ask because they make some delicious seasonal ones. Tuna is one their specialties as are their meats (the goat with cous cous is delicious). The desserts are to-die-for and come in very generous portions, ranging from pistachio pudding to an impressive chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream. The truth is that the place is great, the décor is tasteful and the prices are around 40-50 euros with quality is high, believe me. For me, it's a must if you are on the beautiful coast of Cadiz because everything is delicious. To eat well, there doesn't have to be Michelin stars!
Their grilled meats and Moroccan food are highly recommendable. As for dessert, the mint tea and Moroccan pastries. It's located in Conil de la Frontera, next to the beach and very close to Hotel Fuerte. It is a peaceful establishment where you can enjoy a fantastic meal.
We discovered this restaurant by chance, but we were absolutely delighted. The whole thing is tradition of "Andalusia". There are no set menus, the dishes are listed by the lady who is very understanding but firm and will help you to make the right choices. Our food happened to be a delicious fish dish, accompanied by a leek and local cava sauce, mouthwatering! Even the grilled sea bream was totally delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions large. It's really a place where I hope to return soon!
