A good place to go for tapas at great prices. Treatment is also very nice. The only problem is that sometimes it is difficult to find a spot to sit down, but they always try to make room for a table. Inside there are 2 floors, but in summer they have an outdoor terrace on the street.
The food was spectacular, the site was good, although not very hot, the service was good, but a little dry, and the prices were reasonable. The dessert was very delicious, if somewhat sparse. The famous "revuelto", a bass and a "carrillera" with a bottle of water and cheese cake was about 45 euros.
The terraces of bars and restaurants are a hallmarks of the city Pontevedra. Almost all of the old bars have terraces, be they small or large, in or outside the arcades, with colourful umbrellas or some white, they all have one common denominator: the wooden tables and chairs, which gives a rustic and natural feel to the area. Some of my favourite terraces of this Galician city are in the "Plaza de la Leña", "Plaza de la Verdura", "La rúa dos Soportáis", "la praza de Ferrería", in Tetuán, "Praza das Cinco Rúas" or the "Praza de Méndez Núñez".
This is a large terrace with a tapería strategically located in historical Pontevedra. It's in the highest part of the city, and apparently, the most quiet. It's full of carts and children, who have space to play. You can eat tapas, salads, and Galician empanada, all at very affordable prices.
I passed through Pontevedra recetnly and had the opportunity to enjoy its monumental terraces and tapas in one of them in particular, the Chiruca. I highly recommend it is simple and friendly, the people are friendly and polite and has the best product. A highly recommended place
Os Marist is one of the most popular bars in the old town of Pontevedra and is situated in the pretty Plaza de la Verdura. It's one of those places visited by both tourists and locals. It's somewhere where you enjoy a good wine Albariño or Ribeiro, or typical white wines such as Rias Baixas. And of course, they are accompanied by a good tapas of octopus or galician "empanada". In fine weather the terrace is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the food that gives you and insight into Galician cuisine.
The Bocaíto is a beer-tapería found at 2 Charino Street, right next to the theatre. Its terrace, beneath the arcades, makes it a cool and lovely environment to enjoy a good wine "Albariño: or any of its tapas such as a board of sausages, cheeses, sandwiches ...
This restaurant on Pontevedra's Figueroa Street is a good choice for tapas, lunch or dinner in the historic centre in the Galician city. It's next to Place de la Lena. They serve Galician pie, squid in ink or stuffed, sausage, Padron peppers, croquettes, octopus a Feira, Galician cheese, sausages, grilled shrimp, marinated anchovies, all of top quality and reasonably priced (between 3 and 9 euros). They have a small terrace that's great for people watching on the cobbled streets while enjoying your meal.
I recommend this restaurant for its unbeatable location in Pontevedra. It's In Plaza de la Leña, the most beautiful and one of the most famous squares in the historic old city and its food is homely and cheaply. The terrace is one of the best positioned nearby, perfect for lunch or dinner. They have an extensive menu of tapas: calamari casserole, fried or in ink, aioli potatoes, octopus, grilled ham, omelette, chorizo in wine, salad, Padron peppers, pie, fried fish. Everything I tried was made with top quality products. Their menu of the day includes two dishes, drinks, dessert and coffee and costs 10€.
The food looked as if it had been cooked a week ago I ate the day's menu. The pizza, it was obvious that they had thrown cheese on top and it was at least 2 days old and croquettes like I´ve never tried befor.. I will not go to this place to eat, and if you want coffee you have to order at the bar, I hope not to have to eat there ever again for work, and it seems that somewhere nearby There are other restaurants to eat better and on the Red River.
Tapas bar in the centre of the historic quarter of Pontevedra, particularly in the small and beautiful Plaza de la Verdura. Sincé it´s a small square, it´s difficult to find a seat, so try to come early. The specialty is Spanish omelette (2.5 euros). The chopitos (3.5 euros) and the original platter with Galician cured meats and cheeses such as "tetilla" (9 euros) are also really nice. The portions are very generous. Recommended for tapas (= eat) in Pontevedra.
