The Clarkco State Park is a beautiful surrounding scenic Ivy Lake only a short drive from Meridian, Mississippi. The 815-acre park is full of beautiful Mississippi woodlands and plenty of facilities for camping and watersports. Or, if you're a fan of fishing, the 53-acre lake is fully stocked with catfish and bass and the surrounding scenery is unbeatable.
If you're planning on doing some camping, there are 43 developed campsites that have barbecue grills, water pumps, electrical outlets, and nearby shower areas. If you're looking to go it a bit rougher, there are also 20 or so sites ready for tents that have fire rings and nearby water spigots. If you're looking to really go deluxe, though, you can also get an air-conditioned cabin that's perfect for a weekend in the wilderness with family or friends. Finally, there are several trails but the most popular is the 5-mile nature trail that circles Clarco State Park in its entirety.
If you're looking to spend a day (or two, or three!) in the unspoiled Mississippi wilderness, Clarkco State Park is one of the most beautiful and accessible options around.
